From 13 March 2013, Lua was enabled as a templating language on a number of Wikimedia Foundation wikis, including the English Wikipedia. The aim of the day was for interested Wikimedians to find out what Lua is, how it works in terms of wiki templates, and to try their hands on coding some templates in Lua.

Basic information

  • Date: Sunday 19 May 2013, 10am–5pm
  • Venue: Development House, 56-64 Leonard Street, London EC2A 4LT
  • Participants: All welcome! For the list of attendees please see below
  • Contacts: Any questions? Please contact Katie Chan on katie.chanatwikimedia.org.uk, 020 7065 0990
  • Photos from the day: Here!

Although the day was jointly led by volunteers from London Lua and experienced Wikimedians, the format was fairly informal with each participants sharing their skills and knowledge with the other participants.
